Building Regulation, Inspection and Audits Division is under Directorate with responsibilities

 

Building Regulation, Inspection and Audit Division is under Directorate with responsibilities of:

  1.   Participating in the formulation of policies and laws governing urban planning, human settlement, housing and building activities in Rwanda and to ensure their effective and efficient implementation.

  2.   Monitoring decentralized local administrative entities activities related to building and construction and provide such entities with advice and technical support.

  3.   Developing and implement capacity building and public awareness programs relevant to mandate of Rwanda Housing Authority.

  4.   Coordinating and monitor the professional bodies and services in construction and building industry in Rwanda.

  5.   Developing and manage a dynamic monitoring and evaluation system of urban planning and building activities in Rwanda.

  6.   Analysis of the files, field inspection and approval of Construction permits for Buildings in category 4&5 in all Districts. 

  7.   Supporting other Departments in all legal related matters in Housing and Construction including but not limited to Building and Construction Contract analysis.
