| Created by Jean Claude NIYONSABA / Public Relations and Communication Officer

The Skyscraper is completed at Gishushu roundabout, near Parliament premises in the City of Kigali. It is set to accommodate Five (5) Public Institutions namely Rwanda Development Board (RDB), Rwanda Housing Authority (RHA), Rwanda Mines, Petroleum & Gas Board (RMB), Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA) and Rwanda Land Management and Use Authority (RLMUA).

The G+12 with 4 basement floors building was purchased by the Government of Rwanda as one the solutions to lessen rentals for Public Institutions’ Offices.

Ag. Director General of Rwanda Housing Authority, Noel NSANZINEZA said that Government targets to increase its owns buildings for the Institutions and decrease rentals.

“We are making an effort to decrease renting rate as it seems to be costly. We aim at achieving these through our own buildings either by purchasing or building them. Renting itself is not a problem, it becomes problematic when the rentals increase.” Said Nsanzineza.

Inside RDB New Building, Institutions will be located as follow:

  • First floor: Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA)
  • Second floor: Rwanda Land Management and Use Authority (RLMUA)
  • Third floor: Rwanda Mines, Petroleum & Gas Board (RMB)
  • Fourth floor: Rwanda Housing Authority (RHA)
  • Fifth to Twelfth floors: Rwanda Development Board (RDB)
